Read Time: ~7 mins
UGC & DEB Aligned

Welcome to IgnitoLearn, an AI-powered Online Distance Learning ecosystem. These Terms and Conditions govern your academic admission, course registration, portal access, continuous assessments, and educational services. By accessing our platform, completing your registration, or enrolling in any programme, you enter into a binding agreement to adhere to these terms, partnering university statutes, and relevant regulatory directives.

01

Programme Eligibility & Admission Guidelines

Admission to all online distance education programmes is strictly subject to the applicant fulfilling the prescribed educational qualifications, academic prerequisites, and age standards mandated by the institution and regulatory bodies (such as UGC and the Distance Education Bureau - DEB).

  • Applicants must provide genuine, unadulterated academic certificates, valid government identity credentials, and accurate DEB ID information during registration.
  • All initial admissions are treated as provisional pending comprehensive verification of original documents by the university registrar.
Document Verification Notice: Submission of forged, altered, or deceptive credentials will lead to immediate cancellation of admission, forfeiture of paid fees, and notification to regulatory bodies.
02

Student Portal, Authentication & Account Security

Enrolled students are assigned confidential login credentials granting access to the IgnitoLearn Student Management System, digital libraries, and virtual lecture classrooms.

  • Student accounts are personal and non-transferable. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login identifiers and all academic activities under your profile.
  • Sharing authentication details, allowing third-party proxy attendance, or streaming live lectures to external audiences is strictly prohibited.
  • Any unauthorized access or suspected password compromise must be reported to the IT Helpdesk immediately.
03

Fee Structure, Semester Payments & Refund Policy

All tuition fees, semester dues, examination fees, and digital resource charges must be remitted strictly through the official university payment gateway before published deadline dates.

  • Failure to settle semester installments by the due date may incur institutional late fines or suspension of access to e-content and semester examinations.
  • Requests for course cancellation, withdrawal, or tuition refunds are handled strictly pursuant to the institutional Distance Education Refund Policy and statutory regulatory windows. One-time application and registration fees are non-refundable.
04

Learning Management System (LMS) & Academic Conduct

Educational content is delivered in alignment with the national Four-Quadrant framework, encompassing e-Tutorials, downloadable e-Books, interactive self-assessments, and collaborative academic forums.

  • Students are expected to maintain professional etiquette, constructive discussion, and mutual respect during live lectures, mentor interactions, and student discussion boards.
  • Cyberbullying, harassment, disruptive commentary, dissemination of offensive material, or unauthorized commercial advertising is grounds for immediate disciplinary suspension.
05

Examinations, Assessments & Online Proctoring

Evaluation comprises continuous internal assessments (quizzes, assignments, case studies) and proctored term-end examinations executed via the IgnitoExam engine.

  • Online examinations employ automated AI surveillance combined with live proctoring, including continuous webcam monitoring, audio recording, and browser lockdown.
  • Academic misconduct—including impersonation, screen sharing, unauthorized aids, second devices, or plagiarism—will result in test nullification and referral to the Examination Malpractice Committee.
Anti-Malpractice Policy: Violating proctoring regulations will lead to debarment from taking examinations for a minimum of one academic year.
06

Intellectual Property & Study Material Protection

All curricula, recorded lectures, lecture presentations, e-books, question banks, assessment papers, and software designs are the protected intellectual property of IgnitoLearn and affiliated university partners.

  • Course assets are granted under a limited, personal, non-transferable license solely for the student's individual educational study.
  • Screen recording, illegal downloading, broadcasting, selling, or distributing proprietary lecture media on public websites or social channels violates copyright statutes and will trigger legal action.
07

Suspension, Course De-Registration & Termination

IgnitoLearn and its academic council reserve the authority to temporarily deactivate or permanently terminate student enrollment without liability in the event of:

  • Substantiated breach of academic honesty, exam malpractice, or student code of conduct.
  • Defaulting on mandatory semester fee payments beyond published reconciliation dates.
  • Discovery of fraudulent academic certificates or invalid eligibility documentation.
08

Technical Requirements & Service Availability

Students are responsible for maintaining an operational computer or laptop equipped with a functional web camera, microphone, modern browser, and a stable broadband internet connection capable of streaming HD multimedia and supporting proctoring software.

While IgnitoLearn strives for 99.9% LMS uptime, the institution is not liable for test interruptions, submission failures, or missed lectures resulting from local hardware malfunction, power outages, or student network failure.

09

Academic Progression & Career Disclaimer

Concurrence of semester credits, degree completion, and academic awards are contingent upon the student fulfilling all grading standards and course criteria specified in the academic handbook.

While career advisory services, resume reviews, and recruitment drives may be organized for registered learners, IgnitoLearn does not guarantee specific job placements, interviews, or compensation guarantees.

10

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal claims, disputes, or proceedings arising out of enrollment or portal usage shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction where the institution is registered.
